About the position
The Budtender position at Good Day Farm involves providing exceptional customer service to patients in a cannabis dispensary setting. The role focuses on assisting patients with product selection, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Budtender is expected to have a sound knowledge of cannabis products and to educate patients on their safe use, while also processing transactions and managing inventory.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the dispensary.
- Advising patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs and preferences.
- Keeping abreast of new cannabis products and industry trends.
- Processing patient payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Ensuring the store is clean and well-organized at all times.
- Educating patients on the safe use of selected cannabis products.
- Weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.
- Checking patient identification documents to verify legal age and credentials.
- Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring adequate stock on the sales floor.
- Maintaining compliance with company policies and state regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to obtain a state-issued Agent Card and pass a background check upon hire.
- Proven experience working as a budtender is preferred, but not required.
- Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits, or willingness to learn.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well with other team members.

- Experience in customer service is a plus.
