About the position

The Budtender position at Cookies involves assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with daily store operations while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the Cookies Culture Experience. This role requires a thorough understanding of cannabis products, compliance with local regulations, and effective communication with customers to enhance their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and recommending products based on their needs.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of various cannabis products, including flower, edibles, concentrates, and topicals.
• Ensure compliance with NM state and local laws regarding cannabis sales, including verifying customer IDs and ensuring legal transaction limits.
• Manage inventory by stocking and organizing products, tracking inventory levels, and performing regular audits.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and using point-of-sale systems.
• Educate customers about safe consumption practices and the medicinal benefits of cannabis.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including cleaning display cases and ensuring product presentation.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to promote a positive work environment.
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues as they arise.
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in cannabis to connect with customers and stay informed about industry trends.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous food service or retail experience (preferred).
• Previous industry experience (preferred).
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Maintain eligibility to work in the Cannabis Industry.
• Valid State-Issued Driver's License.
• Valid food handlers permit.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual, Spanish.
