About the position

The Budtender position is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service in a cannabis dispensary setting. The primary responsibilities include assisting customers with product selection, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean sales environment. The role requires knowledge of cannabis products and compliance with legal standards, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and employees.
  • Process customer payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits.
  • Assist customers in comprehending, choosing, and acquiring cannabis products.
  • Possess expertise in the efficacy, effects, aroma, and taste of in-store products.
  • Check customers' identification documents to verify legal age.
  • Assist customers with purchasing decisions and offer recommendations.
  • Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Handle customer inquiries and promptly resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and merchandise displays.
  • Illustrate effective time management skills for optimal utilization of work hours.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to guests and vendors.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED).
  • One (1) year of budtending or relevant sales experience preferred.
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Proficient in phone etiquette and handling customer inquiries over the phone.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.
