Build Technician (Prod)

About the position

The Build Technician at FOX Factory, Inc. is responsible for assembling and installing aftermarket packages for various vehicles, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards. This role involves working in a manufacturing environment, utilizing mechanical knowledge and skills to produce high-quality products while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install aftermarket packages by following blueprints and specifications.
• Review job tickets and customer orders to understand product utilization.
• Create assembly plans based on specifications and experience.
• Install various aftermarket components such as bumpers, light bars, and wire harnesses.
• Apply stickers and badging on vehicles to designate upfit.
• Operate shop equipment including hand tools, jacks, and hoists.
• Perform light fabrication work including drilling and grinding.
• Verify component quantities and quality check completed items.
• Manage parts inventory and ensure structural integrity of products.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Liaise with co-workers to ensure products meet customer standards.
• Troubleshoot potential issues during production.
• Test and evaluate products during and after production.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
• Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of relevant manufacturing or vehicle build/mechanical experience.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to use various tools including hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety rules.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
