About the position
DPR Construction is offering an internship program for high school students interested in Construction Management. Interns will work closely with project teams on major commercial construction projects, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of construction management, including project coordination and quality inspections. The internship aims to provide valuable insights into the construction industry while developing essential skills for future career pursuits.
Responsibilities
- Assist with subcontractor coordination and document control.
- Conduct quality inspections and schedule updates.
- Participate in safety training and site plan updates.
- Work alongside mentors on entry-level construction management assignments.
- Develop presentation skills and participate in an 8-week Capstone project.
- Communicate effectively and navigate as a team member in a professional environment.
Requirements
- Rising high school juniors, seniors, or May 2020 graduates.
- Family income below HUD MFI for your county.
- Legally entitled to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated interest in the built environment.
- Ability to commit to the duration of the internship (8 weeks, 40 hours/week).
- Ability to commute to a jobsite daily.
