We are looking for an Estimator / Inside Sales support associate that will help the sales team in estimating and kicking off projects with our project team efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate should have experience in Automatic Temperature Control (ATC)/ Building Management Systems (BMS) and/or HVAC Building Control Systems projects or related HVAC and/or electrical experience. An outline of daily duties will regularly include, but are not limited to the following items: Estimating Duties & Responsibilities: Develops detailed scope based on design-build scope or plans and specifications developed and published for competitive bidding through contracting channels. Creates detailed cost estimates including system sketches, scope definition, exceptions/exclusions, preliminary proposal, and vendor/sub-contractor quotes. Responsible for the take-off and pricing of purchased equipment to ensure accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc. Project Estimation: capturing costs such as material and labor. Proposal Writing: effectively and succinctly communicating in report or presentation format the value proposition NAC extends to customers. This includes any procurement steps required to ensure successful delivery of the end product. Contacting Customers: calling, emailing, and visiting all existing and potential contractors, engineers and owners that NAC does business with to be the face of the company. Project Follow Up: calling, emailing, visiting, seeking out all potential bidders for project award information leading up to and including closing the deal. Subcontract Procurement: scoping the job competitively with electrical and other trades. Project Kickoff and Turn Over Meetings: presenting both the technical and intangible features of a project to the operations team. Ensuring that there has been a true passing of the torch right from the beginning of the job.
