About the position

The Building Automation System Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue through the development of market potential, lead generation, and closing sales in the HVAC industry. This role requires a strong background in selling Building Automation Systems and involves building relationships with various stakeholders including A/E, Contractors, and End-users. The position offers opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding company that values individual success and provides a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies market potential by qualifying accounts
  • Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments and making initial presentations
  • Closes sales by building rapport with potential accounts and explaining product capabilities
  • Expands sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services
  • Contributes to market strategy by monitoring competitive products
  • Recommends new products and services based on current product evaluations
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Develops high-level relationships within A/E, Contractor, and End-user accounts

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience selling Building Automation Systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a similar field
  • Credentials such as LEED GA/AP, CEM, FE, or PE
  • Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas
  • Excellent cold-calling and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in HVAC, Construction, or Service Industry
  • Previous sales experience with Consulting Engineers, Mechanical Contractors, and Owners
  • Understanding of Tridium & Distech Controls is preferred
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows 7/10 Professional, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, & Excel
