About the position

The Building Automation System Account Executive at HTS Engineering is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by developing market potential and managing client relationships. This role focuses on selling Building Automation Systems and related products, requiring a strong background in HVAC and outside sales. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within a rapidly expanding company.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies market potential by qualifying accounts
  • Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments and making initial presentations
  • Closes sales by building rapport with potential accounts and explaining product capabilities
  • Expands sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services
  • Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products
  • Recommends new products and services by evaluating current product results
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Develops high-level relationships within A/E, Contractor, and End-user accounts

Requirements

  • Three to five years of outside sales experience selling Building Automation Systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a similar field
  • Credentials such as LEED GA/AP, CEM, FE, or PE
  • Record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales quotas
  • Excellent cold-calling and relationship-building skills
  • HVAC, Construction, or Service Industry experience
  • Previous experience with sales to Consulting Engineers, Mechanical Contractors, and Owners
  • Understanding of Tridium & Distech Controls is preferred
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows 7/10, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

  • Experience with DDC Controls
  • Experience with Lighting Controls
  • Experience with Energy Management Systems
