The Building Automation System (BAS) Installer/Apprentice will be responsible for the complete oversight of building automation and temperature control solutions. This role involves performing inspections and service as assigned, ensuring that all jobs and paperwork are completed efficiently, accurately, and with high quality. The position requires planning, coordination, and layout of work, ensuring that materials, tools, equipment, and information are in the proper places at the proper time to meet or exceed production rates. The installer will perform the actual work and installations as required, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and communication, and acting as a problem solver. Key responsibilities include the ability to start, manage, and complete work at or above expected gross margin targets, performing high-quality, code-compliant installations that save labor and satisfy customers. The installer will also be responsible for directing subcontractors, maintaining and keeping current all As-Built drawings, completing daily field reports, and ensuring that all installations comply with the NEC and local AHJ requirements. The role requires the ability to handle multiple work orders simultaneously, commitment to train and develop other employees, and independence to accomplish job responsibilities with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate will have experience in the building automation control field, installation experience with various DDC/BAS controls, and the ability to read and interpret plans and wiring schematics. The position demands physical stamina, as it requires bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting heavy materials. The work environment is typically loud, and the installer will be expected to work in all weather conditions. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $32.00 - $36.00 per hour, and the work schedule is Monday to Friday.
