About the position

The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Engineer at Mechanical Concepts LLC is responsible for the startup, commissioning, and maintenance of building automation and control systems. This role involves working with the Niagara Tridium Platform, performing hardware installations, software programming, and diagnosing and repairing Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems at customer locations. The position emphasizes customer satisfaction and requires effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Startup and commissioning of building automation and controls systems.
• Test and make modifications in the Niagara Tridium Platform.
• Install hardware and program software for DDC systems.
• Diagnose and repair DDC systems at customer locations.
• Interpret controls drawings, plans, and sequences of operations.
• Interface and communicate with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a controls technician.
• Ability to interpret controls drawings, plans, and sequences of operations.
• Strong communication skills to interface with customers.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 or 4 year degree in engineering (industrial or electrical) or computer science preferred.
• Tridium Niagara certification preferred.
