About the position

The Senior Project Manager for Building Automation Systems at Siemens is responsible for coordinating and delivering multiple building automation projects, ensuring client satisfaction and timely completion. This role involves fiscal and managerial oversight across all project facets, contributing to the creation of safer environments in critical institutions such as hospitals and universities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project intentions and establish comprehensive project schedules.
• Oversee the procurement of supplies and materials required for project completion and participate in project cost reviews.
• Assist the Operations Manager in contracting subcontractors and coordinating their activities to align with project scope and schedules.
• Conduct orientations for project technicians, providing necessary project documentation such as scope of work and technical drawings.
• Track project resources and progress, documenting events impacting the schedule and identifying opportunities for change orders.
• Manage project-specific billing coordination with the accounting team and ensure timely completion of project-specific close-out documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
• 2+ years of project management experience in the HVAC controls or related industry
• Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications
• Ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

• Associates Degree or Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
• 8+ years of project management experience in the HVAC controls industry.
