About the position

The Building Automation Technician III - HVAC position at Mesa Energy Systems involves providing integrated solutions for HVAC mechanical services, focusing on preventative maintenance, repair, and upgrades of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. The role requires a deep understanding of various HVAC systems and the ability to analyze and implement control solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Understand the design and intent of mechanical equipment and systems including Chillers, Boilers, and Custom AHUs.
• Analyze systems and develop scope of work for controls implementation.
• Monitor, identify and diagnose potential problems using computer workstations and on-site observations.
• Interface with installation or maintenance team members to execute installations, repairs, or modifications of controlled systems and equipment.
• Give technical presentations on building automation, controls, and emerging technology.
• Locate defective or non-operational components in new and existing systems using test equipment and programming knowledge.

Requirements

• Minimum eight (8) years of direct automation experience with control systems and programming required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.
• Working knowledge of at least three HVAC controls systems (preferably Delta, JCI or Andover).
• Ability to interface with customers at a supervisory and management level.
• Engineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with control system architecture design, programming, or maintenance desired.
• Good computer skills, understanding of controls networking.
• A valid driver's license.
