About the position
The Building Engineer position at Aerotek involves efficiently and accurately welding steel assemblies based on plans and specifications. The role requires following quality control standards and producing high-quality welds while adhering to written and verbal instructions.
Responsibilities
- Weld steel assemblies from plans and specifications.
- Perform simple fittings and process complex parts for assembly.
- Follow dimensional and welding drawings to produce production quality welds.
- Understand and apply visual inspection criteria in pre-QC work checks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience welding or trade school education.
- Certified welder holding current WABO or AWS certification (FCAW).
- Skillful operation of most non-specialized metal working equipment.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
