About the position

The Building Engineer at ABM Industries is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs on various types of equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external customers to address technical issues and implement effective solutions. The position emphasizes safety, compliance with regulatory standards, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering support for a wide range of systems, maintenance programs, engines, and operational engineering functions.
• Analyzes and seeks solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, or repair of vehicles/equipment and their components.
• Defines maintenance programs or configurations to ensure safe and legal operations.
• Reviews Service Bulletins (SBs) from manufacturers and develops solutions and implementation plans based on them.
• Organizes and manages priorities for assigned responsibilities to meet project deliverables and maintenance program changes.
• Coordinates work with other operational groups to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements

• 4 plus years of engineering experience.
• Engineering skill sets applicable to a range of systems, maintenance programs, and engines.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and manage projects for regulatory compliance modifications.
• Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.
