The Building Maintenance Person position is a temporary full-time role within the Facilities department, lasting for 6 months. The position is based at the Auburn, NY Campus and reports to the Director of Facilities Services and Public Safety. The role involves performing a variety of semi-skilled building and grounds maintenance and repair tasks, which may include working independently or assisting a journeyman tradesman. The maintenance person is expected to have a working knowledge of one or more trades, although they will not be utilizing highly skilled journeyman techniques for a significant portion of their time. The job may also require part-time operation of trucks or other automotive equipment, with general instructions provided and work performed under supervision depending on the task.
