About the position

The position involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of various equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, controls, and pneumatic components. The role requires both analytical and manual skills for inspecting, maintaining, installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting building systems and equipment. Technicians will operate high-pressure boilers, chillers, and generators, and will be responsible for completing work orders in a timely manner while prioritizing patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on equipment and systems.
  • Inspect, maintain, install, calibrate, and troubleshoot building systems and equipment.
  • Operate high-pressure boilers, chillers, and generators.
  • Use various machines, hand tools, and test equipment such as multimeters and airflow hoods.
  • Prioritize work to ensure patient needs come first.
  • Complete work orders as assigned and in a timely manner.
  • Record work time electronically in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain inventory and recommend supplies and equipment for purchase.
  • Attend and participate in classes, seminars, workshops, and other continuous education to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
  • Perform utility management duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in performing maintenance on mechanical, electrical, controls, and pneumatic components.
  • Ability to operate high-pressure boilers, chillers, and generators.
  • Proficiency in using various machines, hand tools, and test equipment commonly used by technicians.
  • Strong analytical and manual skills for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of utility management practices.
