About the position
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general building maintenance to ensure uninterrupted production operations. This includes managing outside technicians, conducting preventative maintenance, and executing repairs. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying maintenance needs and maintaining a clean and safe facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs including painting, locks/hardware repairs, and light bulb replacements.
- Maintain supply of spare parts for corrective maintenance activities.
- Complete work orders as assigned and proactively identify and create work orders for corrective maintenance activities.
- Work with contractors on repair estimates, equipment replacement, and other facilities projects.
- Participate in daily housekeeping of buildings and grounds, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Maintain and coordinate disposal and recycling of refuse.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance of fire protection systems and security systems.
- Assist with landscaping and general grounds maintenance.
- Notify facilities management concerning repairs and safety problems.
- Perform or assist in office and furniture moves.
- Maintain and repair HVAC and associated systems.
- Assist with facilities projects such as renovations and new building construction.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years building maintenance experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Willingness to contribute in a team environment.
- Valid Driver's License.
