Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in the application of various ASHRAE standards and building codes in the design of heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems. You will perform design calculations, size HVAC equipment, size ducts, design plumbing systems, and work with CAD designers to prepare design drawings for municipal, federal, or industrial facilities. Additionally, you will develop specifications for procurement of heating units, air conditioning equipment, plumbing fixtures, piping systems, and ventilation systems.

Responsibilities

• Application of various ASHRAE standards and building codes in the design of heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems.
• Perform design calculations and size HVAC equipment and ducts.
• Design plumbing systems and work with CAD designers to prepare design drawings for municipal, federal, or industrial facilities.
• Develop specifications for procurement of heating units, air conditioning equipment, plumbing fixtures, piping systems, and ventilation systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• EIT preferred with intent to pursue Professional Engineering license.
• 0-3 years of experience; internship experience considered a plus.
• Strong design skills in thermodynamics and dynamics of rotating equipment.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with Revit is a plus.
• Ability to travel and work in the field as needed (may include overnight travel).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to devise approaches to problem resolution.
• Ability to be proactive and take ownership of the tasks involved.
