About the position

The Building Science Project Engineer - Entry Level position at Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. involves supporting project tasks related to Property Condition Assessments. The role is designed for recent graduates or individuals with minimal experience in environmental or engineering consulting, providing an opportunity to work within a dynamic team and contribute to various project deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Complete specific project tasks according to deadlines and within budget as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Conduct project research including historical and regulatory aspects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and site representatives.
  • Perform site reconnaissance as required.
  • Compile and organize data for project reports.
  • Author technical reports and prepare supporting documents such as site figures and appendices.
  • Maintain communication with team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure progress is on schedule.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to the Project Manager and clients regarding project assessments.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues.
  • Deliver progress reports and recommendations to the Project Manager and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in physical sciences or engineering discipline.
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in environmental or engineering consulting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Corel, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to deliver quality products on time.
  • Understanding of building component life cycles and system condition evaluation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Fair Housing Act.
