About The Position

The Building Security Guard at Pinnacle Bank Arena is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patrons, staff, and property within the venue. This part-time role involves patrolling assigned areas, responding to disturbances, and managing emergency situations, all while maintaining a professional demeanor. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, as shifts may vary based on demand, and includes working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of security issues related to a major sports and entertainment venue.
• Ability to handle conflicts and make decisions during high tension situations.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform extensive walking throughout the facility.
• Proficient in using Windows and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to operate portable radios and standard office equipment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety of patrons, staff, vendors, and participants.
• Handle disturbances or problems that arise at the facility.
• Escort disruptive individuals to the security office or off the premises if necessary.
• Write incident reports and review procedures with the Security Manager.
• Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
• Assist with crowd control inside and outside the premises.
• Respond to emergency situations, answer alarms, and investigate disturbances.
• Document all shipping and receiving activities.
• Maintain a record of all keys and facility equipment signed out.
