About the position

The City of Lenexa is seeking a Part-Time Building Services Worker to perform custodial duties and routine maintenance at various city facilities. This role is essential for maintaining cleanliness and supporting events, ensuring a positive environment for the community. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently, and committed to delivering high-quality custodial services.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning various facilities.
• Assist with special events, rentals, and programs at City facilities and parks.
• Set up and clean up for meetings, recreational activities, and City events.
• Operate City vehicles to transport equipment and supplies to different locations.
• Clean sidewalks, remove snow and ice, and maintain the cleanliness of building grounds.
• Operate tools and electrically powered machines for cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or obtain within six months of employment).
• Complete required NIMS IS-100 and IS-700 training within three months of employment.
