About the position
Dena'ina Elementary School is seeking a Building Substitute who plays a crucial role in providing support across various classrooms. This position ensures a consistent and familiar presence for students, helping them continue their learning in the absence of their regular teachers. Building substitutes may also assist in other capacities within the school when not assigned to a specific classroom.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support in the absence of regular teachers.
- Assist in maintaining a positive learning environment for students.
- Step in as an extra support staff member when no specific teaching assignments are available.
- Help students with their learning and classroom activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- Valid Alaska Teaching Certificate is preferred but not required.
- Experience in teaching is preferred.
