About the position

Prodeo Academy is seeking a dedicated Substitute Teacher for 2nd to 4th grades who will play a crucial role in providing high-quality instruction and support to students. This position involves both classroom instruction and assisting individual and small groups of students, with a strong focus on fostering a positive and structured learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to closing the opportunity gap and enhancing student growth through effective teaching practices and collaboration with the school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted instruction to students in various classrooms as needed.
• Adopt and articulate effective instructional practices.
• Create a safe and predictable classroom environment with high expectations for behavior and learning.
• Manage and share student data regularly, identifying strengths and growth areas.
• Develop data-driven plans for small groups and individuals every six weeks.
• Attend and participate in all professional development sessions and coaching meetings.
• Collaborate with grade team members and share resources and ideas openly.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff, prioritizing urgent situations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required.
• Short Call Substitute License certification required.
• Record of exemplary results with students.
• Knowledge and application of assessment tools and data management.
