About the position

The Building Technologies Technical Project Monitor-Engineer at Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) is responsible for providing technical and project management support to the Building Technologies Office (BTO). This role involves analyzing stakeholder networks, program portfolios, and energy efficiency technologies, as well as assisting with strategic planning and deployment initiatives. The position requires strong communication and analytical skills, with a focus on energy-saving solutions and public policy interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and project management support to the Building Technologies Office (BTO).
  • Analyze and review existing stakeholder networks.
  • Conduct market, policy, and economic assessments of energy efficiency technologies.
  • Assist in strategic planning and building broad deployment initiatives.
  • Support specific BTO projects, initiatives, and tools such as Technology-to-Market and Field Validation.
  • Engage in day-to-day interactions with internal parties including legal and communications.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders in academia, private industry, and National Laboratories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or physical science.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and professional attitude.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical capabilities, including report writing and spreadsheet analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated independent problem-solving skills and data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Successful drug screening and eligibility for security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with residential or commercial building energy efficiency programs.
  • Ability to balance multiple long and short-term projects and competing priorities.
  • Experience and interest in public policy.
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
