About the position

The Building Trades Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all personnel involved in facility maintenance, turf management, and road building and repair at the Battle Creek Air National Guard. This role involves direct supervision, prioritizing maintenance tasks, and ensuring timely completion of work orders and grounds maintenance. The supervisor will also coordinate staff coverage for emergencies and maintain communication with crew leaders to keep them focused on their priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to personnel involved in facility maintenance and turf management.
• Prioritize preventive maintenance and work order requests in collaboration with the Production Controller and Facility Manager.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks by the maintenance crews.
• Coordinate staff coverage for emergencies after hours using a work-issued cellphone.
• Assist crew leaders in maintaining focus on appropriate tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in a recognized skilled trade or one year as a crew leader in a skilled trade.
