About the position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities. The HVAC Team is engaged in a variety of design and construction activities, utilizing both traditional and alternative project delivery methods. You will work on diverse facility types including Power Generation buildings, Substations, Oil & Gas structures, and Energy Storage buildings. Your responsibilities will encompass systems related to HVAC and plumbing, covering areas such as Power Generation Halls, Administrative spaces, Warehouses, Maintenance workshops, Laboratories, and more. You will also be involved in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies, energy audits, and efficiency engineering studies, as well as code reviews for compliance and the application of sustainable design strategies, including LEED certification processes. The Mechanical Buildings Design Group provides HVAC and plumbing solutions across three market sectors: Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. In this role, you will engage with exciting projects globally, from small community improvements to grand-scale Mega Projects. Responsibilities

  • Participate in the engineering and design of HVAC and plumbing systems for various facilities.
  • Engage in design and construction activities for Power Generation buildings, Substations, Oil & Gas structures, and Energy Storage buildings.
  • Conduct Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies for HVAC systems.
  • Perform energy audits and efficiency engineering studies.
  • Review facilities for code compliance and sustainable design strategies, including LEED certification processes.
  • Collaborate with the Mechanical Buildings Design Group to provide HVAC and plumbing solutions across multiple market sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic knowledge of NFPA standards.
  • Experience with computer-generated HVAC heat loads, energy modeling, and HVAC equipment sizing.
  • Familiarity with the technical submittal reviewing process and bid reviewing process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu.
  • LEED AP certification with experience in obtaining LEED certification for industrial buildings.
  • Extensive experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers.
  • Knowledge of International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes, ASHRAE Handbooks/Standards, ASPE design handbooks, and SMACNA Standards.
  • Experience with 6Sigma software for CFD applications in Data Centers.
