About the position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities. The HVAC Team is engaged in design and construction activities, utilizing project delivery methods such as Traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build. You will work on a variety of facility types including Power Generation buildings, Substations, Oil & Gas structures, and Energy Storage buildings. Your focus will be on systems related to HVAC and plumbing, covering areas such as Power Generation Halls, Administrative spaces, Warehouses, Maintenance workshops, Laboratories, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Centers, and more. You will also be involved in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies, energy audits, and efficiency engineering studies, which include system performance reviews and energy compliance calculations. Additionally, you will conduct code reviews and applications to ensure facility compliance with relevant standards. A significant aspect of this role will be the application of sustainable design strategies, including LEED certification processes. The Mechanical Buildings Design Group provides HVAC and plumbing solutions across three market sectors: Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. In this position, you will engage with exciting projects globally, from small community improvements to grand-scale Mega Projects. Responsibilities

• Participate in the engineering and design of HVAC and plumbing systems for various facilities.
• Engage in design and construction activities using Traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build methods.
• Conduct Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies for HVAC systems.
• Perform energy audits and efficiency engineering studies, including system performance reviews and energy compliance calculations.
• Conduct facility code reviews and applications to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Apply sustainable design strategies and assist in obtaining LEED certification for industrial buildings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of NFPA standards.
• Experience with computer-generated HVAC heat loads, energy modeling, and HVAC equipment sizing.
• Familiarity with the technical submittal reviewing process and bid reviewing process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu.
• LEED AP certification with experience in obtaining LEED certification for industrial buildings.
• Extensive experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers.
• Knowledge of International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes, ASHRAE Handbooks/Standards, ASPE design handbooks, and SMACNA Standards.
• Experience with 6Sigma software for CFD applications in Data Centers.
