About the position

Westmor Industries is seeking a Bulk Fuel Tank Truck Mechanic who is a skilled technician with expertise in repairing and maintaining truck tanks. This role requires proficiency not only in mechanical repairs but also in electrical systems. The mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining truck tanks to ensure they meet safety standards and operational requirements, including electrical components. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality in their work, reflecting the company's core values of serving others, high integrity, and a strong work ethic. The position is based in Shawnee, Kansas, and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Performing general repairs on propane and refined fuel trucks and transports
• Demonstrating proficiency in TIG welding techniques
• Effectively replacing similar parts to demonstrate basic mechanical skills
• Diagnosing and repairing 12 volt electrical, air and hydraulic systems
• Practicing safe work habits when handling gas, diesel, LP, and lube oils

Requirements

• Expertise in repairing and maintaining truck tanks
• Proficiency in mechanical repairs and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair various systems including electrical, air, and hydraulic
• Basic mechanical skills for part replacement
• Commitment to safety and quality in work
