About the position

The Bulk Fuel Ops Research Analyst at Guidehouse will play a critical role in analyzing and modeling worldwide operations and combatant command plans, particularly focusing on fuel feasibility analysis and the readiness of services bulk fuel capabilities. This position involves developing comprehensive reports that address requirements and issues impacting the Global Bulk Fuel Management Division (GBFMD) mission. The analyst will be responsible for utilizing various data sources to support GBFMD assessments, wargaming, and exercise scenarios, ensuring that the analysis is robust and actionable. In this role, the analyst will employ mathematical, statistical, and engineering methods to develop modeling and measuring techniques that enhance operational effectiveness. The position requires writing detailed reports that document data analysis, tool design, development, and test results. Additionally, the analyst will provide support for studies, fuel conferences, exercises, and real-world events, contributing to the overall mission success of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics or supply chain management, with a focus on military operations. They will be expected to work collaboratively within a matrixed environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role is essential for ensuring that the organization meets its operational goals and maintains a high level of readiness in fuel operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, model, and develop reports on worldwide operations and combatant command plans related to fuel feasibility analysis.
  • Develop analysis and modeling of data sources in support of GBFMD assessments, wargaming, and exercise scenarios.
  • Support the development of modeling and measuring techniques using mathematics and statistical methods.
  • Write reports documenting data analysis, tool design and development, and test results.
  • Provide support to studies, fuel conferences, exercises, and real-world events.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • THREE (3) years experience in logistics, supply chain, military, or higher HQ or fuel operations.
  • US Citizenship.

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance.
  • Experience with Global Bulk Fuels program.
  • Experience managing large logistics projects.
  • Experience with DLA, USTRANSCOM, or COCOMs.
