About the position
The Bulk Loading Supervisor at ASR Group is responsible for overseeing all bulk loading activities, including the loading, finishing, and shipping of products by rail car. This role involves managing customer relations, directing employees, and ensuring efficient operations within a unionized environment.
Responsibilities
- Assure proper loading and unloading of rail cars efficiently.
- Track product inventory to ensure appropriate availability and timely delivery.
- Interface with customers professionally to solve problems and answer questions.
- Maintain and coordinate documentation and certifications.
- Oversee personnel in a unionized environment.
- Ensure the area is audit-ready at all times.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in a bulk loading department in a manufacturing setting with supervisory experience or equivalent military experience.
- Demonstrated success in leading operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts.
- Experience in a unionized setting is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited technical school, college, or university is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or related fields (food manufacturing a plus).
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SAP.
