About the position

The Bundle Shop Supervisor at Ohmstede Ltd. is responsible for overseeing the assembly of shell and tube heat exchangers, ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, and high-quality production standards. This role involves managing a team, providing training and performance evaluations, and maintaining documentation related to employee performance and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees and manage workflow for product assembly.
• Communicate job expectations and provide training, coaching, and counseling to employees.
• Ensure adherence to performance standards and address performance issues.
• Manage documentation related to employee performance, including promotions and disciplinary actions.
• Plan and schedule personnel and materials to meet production requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
• Oversee the layout and cutting of baffles and structural welding of bundles.
• Direct hydrostatic testing and installation of bundles into shells.
• Handle personnel issues and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Perform formal evaluations of subordinate performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10 years of experience in manufacturing shell and tube exchangers or related industry.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Knowledge of metals and production/fabrication processes.
• Experience with ASME Pressure Vessel Code, TEMA, and/or API is a plus.
