About the position

The Bus Aide at Syble Hopp School is responsible for ensuring the safe transport of students to and from school. This part-time position requires the aide to assist students during their bus ride, follow safety protocols, and maintain effective communication with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ride assigned bus for pick-up and drop-off.
• Follow child pickup and release procedures.
• Support students during the ride to achieve safe transport to school.
• Help with Emergency Evacuation procedures.
• Respond to Emergencies as directed by procedures.
• Complete required paperwork such as bus behavior reports.
• Report to work on time and follow call-in procedure when absent.
• Maintain effective working relationships with other employees and parent(s)/guardian(s).
• Participate in training as directed.

Requirements

• Special Education Certification
• Ability to obtain WI DPI Special Education Instructional Aide license with assistance
