About the position
The Bus Driver at Prescolaire Early Learning Academy is responsible for safely transporting children to and from the academy using 14 passenger buses. This role emphasizes safety, organization, and flexibility, ensuring that all transportation needs are met while maintaining a positive environment for the children.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 14 passenger bus for local driving needs.
- Load and unload passengers safely.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with children and staff.
- Adjust work schedule as needed to meet the demands of the center.
Requirements
- Current driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 1 year of school bus driving experience.
- AA Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certification required.
- Ability to read maps and navigate effectively.
- No felony, DWI, or controlled substance arrests or convictions.
Nice-to-haves
- Passenger Endorsement certification preferred.
- CDL B license preferred.
