Bus Mechanic / Technician

About the position

The Plymouth Community School Corporation is seeking a Bus Mechanic / Technician to work at the Automotive Center. This position involves maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure they are safe and operational for student transportation. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot various issues that may arise with the vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buses.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Assist in the training of new mechanics or technicians as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary training or relevant work experience in automotive repair.
• Indiana Commercial Driver's License - Minimum Class B (endorsements/restrictions apply).
