About The Position

The City of Greeley is seeking a part-time Transit Bus Operator to join the Greeley-Evans Transit (GET) program. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Class B-P2 Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements.
• Ability to pass and maintain DOT Physical Requirements.
• MVR review required as part of the post-offer pre-employment screening process.
• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.

• Experience managing transportation or logistics in the military.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and strict procedural adherence.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate transit buses within the Greeley-Evans Transit service area.
• Ensure timely and efficient transportation of passengers.
• Make informed decisions to minimize service interruptions.
• Navigate effective routing alternatives.
• Provide accurate reports on events, incidents, and performance.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Assist with mechanical problems, route delays, and passenger-related issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist passengers with different types of equipment.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, accidents, and public complaints.
• Assist with training new operators.
