About the position
Palm Tran is seeking professional Bus Operators responsible for operating public transit vehicles on scheduled routes throughout Palm Beach County. The role requires excellent customer service and communication skills, ensuring passenger safety and adherence to schedules while maintaining accurate records and logs.
Responsibilities
- Operate diesel-powered passenger buses on scheduled routes and special services.
- Maintain records and logs as required, including accurate passenger counts.
- Provide general information to passengers and the public as requested.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and the vehicle operated.
- Complete assigned routes within the prescribed time schedule.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification/GED.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with Passenger (P) endorsement or CDL Learner's Permit with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial driving experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Recent experience operating a transit bus or heavy equipment within the past five years.
- Customer service experience.
