About the position

The Transportation Concierge at Harmony at Southridge is responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to residents. This role involves developing routes and schedules based on resident needs, maintaining the vehicle, and ensuring the safety and comfort of residents during transport. The position requires a commitment to professionalism and teamwork, as well as adherence to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide van transportation to residents on a scheduled basis and for special trips sponsored through the activity department
• Assist in developing routes and schedules based on resident needs and requests
• Keep appropriate records, including mileage log, repair log, trip, and expenses
• Keep receipts for expenses and submit them to the Life Enrichment Director
• Maintain cleanliness of the van inside and out, ensuring routine maintenance and repairs are performed timely
• Report any accidents/incidents to the supervisor and Harmony Senior Services immediately
• Maintain a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the department
• Attend all required in-services and staff meetings
• Complete all other duties as assigned
• Assist residents on and off of the van, ensuring their safety at all times
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding the release of resident information
• Assist the Activities/Programming Department with activities as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Safe driving record with a copy of DMV record provided to the Executive Director
• Current driver's license designated to permit operating the type of vehicle used by the community
• Polite and considerate demeanor towards residents, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors
• Organized and willing to work with others as part of a team
• Physically and mentally capable of performing job duties
• Ability to ascend and descend stairs frequently, operate a wheelchair lift, and push a resident in a wheelchair
• Professional representation of the residence with neat dress and courteous manner, may require wearing a designated uniform
• Flexible schedule availability including some weekend and evening hours
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
