About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Bush Hog, RhinoAg, and Dixie Chopper is a field-based role responsible for supporting dealerships in Iowa and Southern Wisconsin. This position focuses on recruiting, retaining, and growing dealership sales, managing inventory, and assisting with parts sales and equipment orders. The role is integral to maintaining strong relationships with dealerships and driving sales performance in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key initiatives to help grow sales in assigned territory.
  • Conduct cold calls for new dealer prospecting and turf opportunities.
  • Manage inventory within the territory and facilitate equipment transfers to meet retail demand.
  • Develop individual dealer plans for sales and order inventory accordingly.
  • Forecast market conditions for the territory on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in starting new equipment sold and address base level operational questions.
  • Participate in at least 5 demo events and 5 open houses with key dealers.
  • Support local and regional farm show events.
  • Implement a parts representation plan for dealers in the territory.
  • Conduct monthly certifications and inventory checks of equipment on dealer lots.
  • Engage in warranty registration and provide necessary training to dealers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Service, Sales Support, and Credit on dealer compliance issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college preferred.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience required; agricultural equipment sales experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and achieve results under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Salesforce, and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have an insurable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in setting up and presenting products at trade shows and events.
  • Ability to build and foster effective business relationships with executives, managers, dealerships, and vendors.
