About the position

The Business Account Executive at Spectrum is responsible for connecting small and medium-sized businesses to the company's Internet, voice, and video services. This role involves building relationships with clients, achieving sales goals, and providing superior products that keep pace with technological advancements. The position is customer-facing, requiring both office work and field visits within a designated sales territory.

Responsibilities

  • Sell primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory.
  • Achieve sales and revenue goals through prospecting for new customers and selling bundled services.
  • Generate sales leads through various prospecting tactics and manage leads from initial contact to sale.
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan to expand the customer base under the guidance of the Sales Manager.
  • Support efforts to enhance the customer experience and ensure accurate order management.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities using Salesforce.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, particularly telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience in a high transaction, short closing cycle model.
  • Business to business sales experience.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.
