About the position

The Business Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing growth plans for clients by leveraging a deep understanding of retailer and manufacturer strategies. This role involves providing direction to Customer Managers, optimizing business plans, and driving the Business Planning process in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Business Account Manager serves as the key point of contact for regional client leadership, ensuring consistent experiences and outcomes while managing forecasts, promotional strategies, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Customer Managers to develop and execute business plans
  • Build and manage strategic plans for respective retailers/wholesalers
  • Align on strategy and plan with Region Broker Managers, identify opportunities and threats
  • Feed Customer Managers with planning analytics to support Category/Line reviews and New Item presentations
  • Manage trade funds effectively and ensure visibility
  • Measure effectiveness of Customer Managers
  • Align with Insights lead and utilize insights specific to Category/Brand, Consumer/Shopper, Channel/Retail dimensions
  • Work with syndicated and other data sources to manage and inform strategic and tactical trade plans
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial and data analysis, including pre/post event analysis
  • Develop customer-level distribution and merchandising targets with supporting insights and activation plans for key initiatives
  • Attend Customer Sales Calls with the Customer Manager Team when appropriate
  • Develop and deliver content as part of the CROSSVIEW Business Review process
  • Ensure Client's Plans are built and maintained in CROSSVIEW and the Client's Trade Planning System

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year university
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in sales or marketing, with experience calling on a major chain customer
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Nielsen and syndicated data sources
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Collaboration and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritize demands and follow through on commitments
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
