About the position

The Business Acquisition Manager at Southland Industries is a pivotal role responsible for developing and executing the overall business strategy for the designated region or market. This strategy is designed to align with the Division's strategic and financial objectives, ensuring that the company meets its sales and revenue goals while enhancing the Southland Energy brand within the market. The manager will create a comprehensive strategic business plan that outlines the sales focus, critical marketing support, and the organizational structure necessary to achieve business goals. In this role, the Business Acquisition Manager will manage sales activities to foster strong customer relationships and ensure effective use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, providing necessary reporting metrics. The manager will oversee business acquisition resources to meet objectives, promote team selling, and expand existing relationships into new sales opportunities. Additionally, the manager will support sales teams in direct selling to key accounts and act as a primary contact for clients, representing Southland Energy as a leader in the industry. The position also involves targeting key projects and accounts, developing and implementing sales strategies, and assisting the business acquisition team in determining margins and assessing future business potential. The manager will be responsible for coaching and training the sales team to enhance their skills and performance, ensuring that the team meets its targets and contributes to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the applicable business segment with a proven sales record.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to set clear performance expectations.
  • High level of business acumen and ability to support client solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate tasks, and ensure accountability.
  • Deep understanding of client financial drivers and decision-making metrics.
  • Broad knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
