About the position
Waynesburg University is seeking a full-time faculty member in Accounting for the Waynesburg campus, starting in August 2024. The rank and tenure track status will be determined based on the qualifications, skills, and experience of the successful candidate. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Teaching twelve hours per semester in accounting, auditing, tax, and other business areas as needed.
- Participating in normal faculty duties such as committee assignments and advising.
- Contributing to business curriculum development.
- Facilitating internships.
Requirements
- Doctorate of Business Administration, PhD in Accounting, or MBA/MPA with CPA designation.
- Industry-related experience in accounting.
- Forensic Accounting experience is a plus.
- A history of teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels.
- Demonstrated capacity to embrace and use experiential and active learning techniques in the classroom.
- Strong Christian faith and commitment to the University's Mission.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Forensic Accounting.
