About the position

The Business Advisor II - Fraud Operations at USAA plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and developing solutions such as reporting and dashboards. This position focuses on enhancing business programs, identifying regulatory gaps, and mitigating risks associated with financial and reputational harm. The advisor will also provide business planning guidance and conduct training for contact center staff.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for procedure and process improvement and implement business solutions to meet needs.
  • Collaborate with enterprise partners to develop business rules and requirements for projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of products and initiatives.
  • Conduct training and create communications for new processes and product changes.
  • Perform periodic testing against key controls and address issues as necessary.
  • Document business decisions in accordance with enterprise record retention standards.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 2 years of project management or business planning experience.
  • Developing knowledge of relevant industry technology applications such as Salesforce, SharePoint, and CRM systems.
  • Experience in developing recommendations to improve business processes.
  • Experience in written and verbal communication to effectively deliver information to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience with project management and Excel.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing and maintaining reporting for operational strategies.
  • 1+ years of experience in Fraud Operations, including fraud call center experience.
  • US military experience through service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.
