Responsibilities

  • Serve as budget and fiscal manager for the College of Health Professions and Sciences.
  • Manage the day-to-day business and financial activities for the College, including annual budget development and budget management.
  • Oversee Division finances, managing approximately $26M operating budget, $4M in research expenditures, and $10M in foundation funds.
  • Interact and collaborate with university administration, business officers, directors, managers, and staff.
  • Exercise discretion, respect, diplomacy, and good judgment in handling difficult or sensitive situations.
  • Ensure excellence, effectiveness, and efficiency of the business operations.
  • Participate in campus financial strategy development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of professional work experience performing directly related work within a similar function.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting, finance, business, or relevant field.
  • Master's, related advanced degree, or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA).
  • Directly related experience working in Finance in a public university setting.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of collaboration and advancing initiatives across all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools, including PC-based spreadsheet applications and systems.
  • Experience with ERP Systems, including Workday.
