About the position

The Business Analyst 2 at WarCollar Industries will play a crucial role in analyzing web applications across the enterprise. This position involves collaboration with stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), development teams, and project managers to define and document business requirements, ensuring successful system implementations and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical and business teams, managing testing efforts and documenting system changes to adapt to evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for system enhancements and new initiatives.
  • Work closely with technical teams, SMEs, and vendors to ensure business requirements are communicated and incorporated into system designs.
  • Develop detailed business requirements documentation, business flow diagrams, prototypes, and mockups.
  • Create Use Cases, User Stories, Functional and Non-Functional Requirements, and UML diagrams.
  • Lead Joint Requirements Planning (JRP) and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to align stakeholders on system requirements.
  • Assist in the development of test plans and test scripts based on documented requirements.
  • Participate in functional and system integration testing, ensuring thorough execution and documentation of results.
  • Support customers through testing phases, providing guidance and training on system functionality.
  • Facilitate problem-solving sessions to identify solutions and recommend system improvements.
  • Regularly update the Systems Manager and Project Manager on project status, risks, and key issues.
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings, status calls, and planning sessions.
  • Work with security teams to ensure all security requirements are captured in system design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of experience in business analysis and project management.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL) and SDLC methodologies.
  • Strong skills in project planning, requirements gathering, and business process mapping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with multiple project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with healthcare-related information systems.
  • Experience with systems analysis and designing technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with the Commonwealth of Virginia Information Security Standard (SEC 530) or other relevant security frameworks.
