About the position

The Business Analyst 3/Workforce Programs Support role is focused on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Division's CRM system and associated business workflows. This position serves as a liaison between the TNT Team and other Division staff, coordinating with IT to implement testing protocols and ensuring that workforce programs data is accurately reported. The role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison with other Division staff regarding fixes, changes, and improvements to the Division's CRM system.
  • Coordinate with IT staff to assemble QA, User Acceptance, and regression testing teams.
  • Develop and implement an automated testing protocol utilizing SmartBear.
  • Improve relationships with technical staff within the Department and with State IT.
  • Assist the Training Coordinator with training concepts and communications.
  • Work with program subject matter experts to ensure correct input into the Department's case management system.
  • Ensure that the case management system supports the Division's business requirements.
  • Coordinate with Job Service leadership and other teams to train staff on effective use of the case management system.
  • Monitor daily production support tasks and address issues in a timely manner.
  • Identify bottlenecks in internal processes and help develop solutions.
  • Serve as primary contact for special projects involving State IT and WSD work units.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in research, analysis, and solution of complex programs and problems.
  • Knowledge of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) and workforce programs and services.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably MWorks and EmployMT.
  • Knowledge of QA and User Acceptance testing techniques, including automated testing tools like SmartBear.
  • Familiarity with Jira and ServiceNow.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Workforce Development programs and services in Montana.
  • Knowledge of case management CRM and job board systems.
  • Experience writing user stories and test cases for system testing.
  • Experience with Agile project management principles and tools, specifically Jira.
