About the position

The Business Analyst 4-Ops position at Oracle is designed to enhance operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in alignment with the organization's financial and tactical business objectives. This role involves providing comprehensive business practices and processes, as well as developing, communicating, and training the organization on these practices. The Business Analyst will serve as a crucial liaison between various divisions, including Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for collecting, inputting, verifying, correcting, and analyzing data to measure key performance indicators against business objectives. Regular updates will be provided to management regarding budget versus actual performance, highlighting any deviations and opportunities for improvement. The analyst will also assess the economic impact and compliance issues related to key business decisions and deals, ensuring that Oracle's business practices are communicated effectively throughout the organization. Additionally, the role will involve driving the implementation of new processes and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing.
  • Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicators against business objectives.
  • Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual performance, informing them of deviations and opportunities.
  • Assess economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals.
  • Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance.
  • Drive the implementation of new processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
