About the position

The Business Analyst 4-Ops position at Oracle is a critical role within the GPO organization for Deal Management. Candidates must demonstrate fluency in complex business processes and system functionalities, particularly in areas such as CPQ, DAS, and Q. Experience in managing large-scale projects while also addressing day-to-day operational requests is essential. The ability to navigate shifting business priorities while balancing multiple projects and tasks is crucial. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong analytical skills to assess data and processes, proposing efficiency gains where applicable. The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience, and the successful candidate will serve as a liaison with various divisions, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing. Responsibilities include collecting, inputting, verifying, correcting, and analyzing data to measure key performance indicators against business objectives. The role also involves communicating Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitoring compliance with processes and approvals. The Business Analyst will drive the implementation of new processes and procedures, ensuring that the organization operates efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing.
  • Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicators against business objectives.
  • Provide management with insights on economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals.
  • Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance.
  • Drive the implementation of new processes and procedures.
  • Lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining project documentation and ensuring on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones.
  • Responsible for the successful validation, understanding, and execution of projects, including strategic initiatives and enhancements to systems or processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between business partners and IT to lead system and process implementation strategies.
  • Represent global Deal Management processes and systems, acting as the go-to person for technical flows and related changes.
  • Provide regular status updates to business partners and leadership using tools like Zoom, Confluence, Jira, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Strong ability to lead discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated fluency in complex business processes and system functionality (CPQ, DAS, Q).
  • Experience working on large-scale projects and handling day-to-day operational requests.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze data and processes to propose efficiency gains.
  • Capacity to assess situations objectively and take strong positions when necessary.
  • Proficiency with Excel, including pivots, formulas, and vlookups.
