About the position

The Business Analyst - Accounting position requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in business analysis, particularly within the mortgage, banking, or finance domains. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, analyze processes, and design solutions, while also providing guidance during software development projects. The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business analysis work related to accounting processes.
• Gather and analyze business requirements from clients' cross-functional teams.
• Create workflows and functional designs during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Provide guidance to the delivery team on functionality, system integrations, and best practices.
• Assist in preparing User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases and support the UAT process.
• Review user business processes and use cases.

Requirements

• Must have a valid CPA license.
• 10 to 15 years of overall work experience, with at least 10 years in the IT Solutions/Services industry.
• Experience in business analysis within the mortgage, banking, or finance domains.
• Extensive knowledge in accounting and familiarity with IT development projects.
• Experience in customizing enterprise applications, particularly in the Insurance domain.
• Good understanding of Agile and iterative software development approaches.
