The Business Analyst - AI & New Tech at Hertz serves as a crucial link between the business and technical communities. This role involves collaborating with IT project teams and business clients to gather, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual designs. The Business Analyst is expected to be a thought partner and visionary, shaping technology demands within the business community.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage process analysis with business and technical partners.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and document various states of development.
• Develop user guidance and technical support runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of business or technical analysis experience.
• Strong analytical skills for understanding business functionality and translating them into application requirements.
• Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations.
• Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products.
• Ability to partner with software engineers and quality analysts to identify resolutions.
• Understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
• Familiarity with modeling techniques, including Object Orientation analysis and UML.
• Understanding of various software development lifecycles, including Agile, RUP, and Waterfall.
• Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications.
